What Ayuti stores in your browser
Last updated: 15 September 2026
Ayuti uses two technical cookies to run the service and two analytics cookies that only exist if you say yes. There is no advertising and no profiling here — Ayuti carries no ads at all.
This page explains every cookie and every piece of browser storage Ayuti uses, what it is for and how long it lasts. It sits alongside the privacy policy, which covers everything else Ayuti does with your data.
Strictly necessary cookies
These make the site work: they keep you signed in and protect forms against cross-site request forgery. They cannot be switched off, and the law does not require consent for them.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
session |
Keeps you signed in after you follow a magic link, remembers your chosen language, and carries the anti-CSRF token. Signed by the server, not readable by other sites. | Until you close the browser, or 1 hour of inactivity |
ayuti_consent |
Records the choice you made in the cookie banner, so Ayuti neither asks you again on every page nor loads analytics you refused. | 6 months |
Analytics cookies — only with your consent
Ayuti uses PostHog to understand which pages people use and where the product confuses them, and its own cookie to remember how you first found the site. Nothing is loaded or stored until you accept: before that, the analytics script is not even fetched, and no analytics cookie exists. If you refuse, or simply ignore the banner, none of this runs.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
ayuti_ft |
Set by Ayuti itself. Remembers how you first arrived: the campaign tag on the link you followed, or the site that linked to Ayuti (without the rest of that page's address), and the Ayuti page you landed on. If you create an account, this is saved with it so Ayuti can tell which channels actually bring people in. It is never sent to a third party. | 3 months |
ph_*_posthog |
Set by PostHog. Recognises a returning browser so repeat visits are not counted as new people, and records which pages were viewed. | 12 months |
PostHog processes this data on European servers on Ayuti's behalf, under a data processing agreement. If you are signed in, your account identifier and email are attached to your analytics profile so support questions can be traced to a real account.
Browser storage
Some preferences live in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie. They never leave your device and are never sent to the server, but they follow the same rules, so they are listed here for completeness.
| Key | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
ayuti-theme |
Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. | Until you clear your browser data |
ask_history_v1 |
Keeps your recent questions on the Ask page so you can return to them. Stored only in your browser. | Until you clear your browser data |
ayuti-dashboard-beta-banner-dismissed |
Remembers that you dismissed the beta notice, so it stays dismissed. | Until you clear your browser data |
Changing your mind
Use the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page to reopen the banner and change your answer. Withdrawing consent takes effect immediately: analytics stops, and the analytics cookies already on your device are deleted.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop you from signing in.
No advertising
Ayuti previously carried a Google AdSense tag. It was removed in September 2026 and no advertising or profiling cookie is set by this site any more.
Who to contact
The data controller is Alberto Clemente. For anything about cookies or your data, write to clemalb@gmail.com. Your full rights, and how to complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority, are set out in the privacy policy.
